Ondo 2020: Ojajuni emerges NNPP governorship candidate

By Ebi Perekeme

Prince Eniola Ojajuni has emerged the Ondo State governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).

Olajuni who was a former presidential aspirant on the platform of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) took majority of the votes of delegates in Akure.

The candidate according to a statement signed by Rev. Emmanuel Olorunmagba,
Deputy National Publicity Secretary, NNPP, vowed to unseat Arakunrin Akeredolu and become the first governor of Ondo State from the South Senatorial District, that has been so marginalized as if the people of the South are not legitimate Ondo State indigene.

The NNPP flag bearer was born on the 28th of December, 1978 (41 years ago) to the royal family of Ojajuni Karaki, descendant of Mesere family in Ugbo Kingdom, Ilaje LGA of the South Senatorial District.

In 2015, he contested for House of Assembly, Kosofe Constituency 1, Lagos, under AD; coming closely second. Then he vied for Ondo State Governorship position in 2016; before taking the giant leap in 2019 as AD Presidential Aspirant.

He attended the prestigious Lagos State University (LASU) in Ojo, Lagos, where he studied Law for his first degree and then proceded to Ghana Business School to gain knowledge in Business Administration. Also, he had been to various business schools across African countries and in Europe.

He started his business career at a very tender age. As a young person who developed interest in his mother’s business, he helped his mother in selling dried and smoked fish. His enthusiasm towards this business prompted some Lebanese who dealt with importation of fish at Ijora Olopa, Ijesha, to advise him to register a company that would enable him import Sardine Fish.

In 2011, Ojajuni proceeded to importing wines and commodity goods. He became a consultant to the then Oceanic Bank on investment banking and also a consultant to Metropolitan Bank on investment and strategy.

He is a consultant to Vega Foods, Singapore on Africa investment and also a consultant to Delta State Investment Agency on Direct.

“It is of note that NNPP is the platform that does not discriminate against any Nigerian based on age, sex or ethnicity. Without gainsaying, NNPP is the party through which vibrant, unblemished youths who have proven track records can achieve their aim of taking over power from the older generation that are not ready to let go of power easily.”
