Guwor thanks God for his win, celebrates life, child

– Your victory can build bridges of consensus understanding – Otuaro

Delta State House of Assembly member representing Warri South West constituency, Hon. Emomotimi Guwor has promised his constituents of working with the government to ensuring that dividends of democracy get to them.

He disclosed this while delivering a speech before a crowd, who had gathered for what he dubbed “tripartite celebration” on Sunday, July 14, at the KFT place in Warri.

Guwor, who was full of ecstasy, thanked God for his life, for attaining the level of representing the people of Warri South West and finally, for the gift of a baby girl, making it “tripartite celebration”.

According to him, “Today is the happiest day in my life. Today’s celebration is a tripartite one. First, I am thanking God for life, secondly for enthronement as a member of the seventh Assembly, and finally God immediately after the election gave me a wonderful girl.

“My Itsekiri brothers, I am grateful; my Ijaw brothers, I am grateful. You have done excellently well by electing me to represent you. I am promising you that I will not fail you.

“I believe that men and women that were elected from their various constituencies to represent all of us are men and women of impeccable character and they will collaborate with the executive arm of government, because government is about the people.”

The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barr. Kinsley Otuaro who also addressed the crowd congratulated Guwor for his victory and the bouncing baby girl he was celebrating.

He described the victory of Guwor as one that can build more bridges of consensus understanding and cooperation to better the life of the people of Warri South West.

According to Otuaro, “We promise whole heartedly from our heart that God helping us, we will do all in our power to deliver the dividends of democracy in such a manner and form that we will have all course to be happy and glorify God who is in heaven.”

Meanwhile, earlier that Sunday, the Redeem Christian Church of God, Redemption Mega Parish in Warri, was jam-packed with dignitaries including the Governor of Delta State, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa; the Deputy, his wife, Dr Ebierin Otuaro; Wife of the Speaker and hundreds of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) bigwigs, amongst others as they sang and danced to glorify God for the victory for Emomitimi Guwor.

Guwor and his wife were in thanksgiving mode for the new political position attained and also dedicated their child.

During the thanksgiving service cum baby dedication, the Governor Okowa encouraged the people to pray for their leaders.

He, however, urged political leaders to do their best to serve the people, adding that they should not lie to the people, whom they give hope to serve.

He congratulated Guwor on his new political role in government and challenged him to be a beacon of hope to his constituents.
