By Loveth Ojogun

Niger Delta environmental activist and scholar,  Chief Dennis Otuaro has called on Nigerians to embrace peace for a harmonious co-existence in the country.

Chief Otuaro disclosed this in his message to celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir in Asaba on August 12. He said that promotion of peace among diverse ethnic and religious groupings in the country was essential for national development.

“As we celebrate this auspicious occasion, therefore, let us renew our faith in our nation and implore the Almighty Allah to restore to us those values that place high premium on human life: love of neighbour and sharing even as we ventilate our faith in the unity of our dear country and the possibility of it taking its proper place in the comity of nations,” Otuaro said.
