Buhari, Osinbajo, Jonathan, Okowa to grace Niger Delta Youth Summit in Uyo

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, is expected to declare open the forthcoming 2022 Niger Delta Youth Peace Summit scheduled for Friday, September 30 by 10:00am at Eemjm Hotel and Suites in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom state.

This was contained in statement on Sunday signed by the National President, Niger Delta Progressive Youth Leadership Foundation, Chief Diplomat Adam Ogomugo and made available to GbaramatuVoice.

Other dignitaries expected at the event include; His Excellency, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Guest of Honor; Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, Vice Presidential Candidate, Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Chairman of the Occasion; Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Former President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Father of the Day; Surv. Furo-ebi Akene, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Centre for Environmental Preservation and Development, Keynote Speaker; Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, Elema of Warri Kingdom, Vice Chairman of the Occasion; HRM (Dr.) Famous Sayeregha Eaeduwo, Amanana-owei of Angalabiri I’m Bayelsa state, among other top dignitaries.

While calling on all Niger Delta youth to grace this epic youth summit, the organizers expressed hope that the proposed Summit will provide a lead way of promoting peace and unity for a prosperous Niger Delta of our Dreams amongst the various ethnic nationalities in Niger Delta region.

Ogomugo also disclosed that the Summit which plans to have about one thousand (1000) youths across the Niger Delta states in attendance, will feature discourse, dialogue and insightful engagement where young leaders learn from each other and engage with global leaders from multinationals, development institutions, Civil Sociery Organisation CSO, public and private organizations.

“It is time, we come together as Niger Delta youths to rebuild, reunion, restrategise, reconstruct and rebroadcast the genuine issues affecting the smooth running of the development of our blessed Niger Delta region. Togetherness, we make our Niger Delta Region safer for business oriented drives”, the statement concluded.
