By Brakere Birinimighan

Operators of OML 29 and the Nembe Creek Trunk Line, NCTL, Nigeria’s Aiteo said on Friday, May 3, 2019, that it has in no doubt finished emergency repairs on the strategic pipeline.

The company assured  oil companies transporting crude via the pipeline that they have nothing to fear and should go ahead to re-affirm their commitment in order to start doing business again.

GbaramatuVoice could recall reporting that Aiteo declared a “force majeure” because of a fire incident that took place as a result of vandals activities to steal oil from the pipe about two weeks ago which killed the holigans.

According a statement by the company, “Aiteo confirms that our Emergency Pipeline Repair teams have successfully completed leak repair activities on all reported leak points on the NCTL.

“Consequently, all injectors have been advised to re-align and commence start-up formalities immediately and advise on their start up times.”
