Nicholas Mutu clinches Bomadi/Patani PDP ticket for 7th term

The member representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Nicholas Mutu has won the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) primary election for the Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency seat of Delta State for the Seventh term.

The returning officer, Mr Fidelis Tilije who disclosed this on Sunday said that a total of 60 delegates were accredited for voting at the St. Brendan Catholic college Bomadi, headquarters of the Bomadi /Patani Federal Constituency of the state.

Tilije, after voting and vote counts, disclosed, that the incumbent Member Representing the Federal constituency, Hon. Nicholas Mutu polled 36 votes while Barr. Basil Ganagana scored 23 votes and one vote was voided.

Speaking shortly after the declaration of the result, Mutu thanked the delegates and members of the party for finding him worthy and competent to be the flag bearer of the party to re-contest the seat for the seventh term.

Mutu also commended the sportsmanship of his fellow contestant, Mr Basil Ganagana saying that there was no winner no vanquish as it was a brotherly contest.

He further tasked the follower to always have faith in the leadership of the party adding that, the leaders were there to serve and bring the needed development to the area.
