Ebipade Celebrates Nigeria at 66, Calls for Unity and Progress in Warri North

Date:

The All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer for Warri North Constituency II in the 2027 Delta State House of Assembly election, Chief Ebipade Kari Ebipade, has felicitated with the people of Warri North, Deltans and Nigerians on the country’s 66th Independence Anniversary, calling for peace, unity and collective commitment to development.

In his Independence Day message, Ebipade extended his greetings on behalf of himself, his family and the Kari Ebipade political family to residents and Nigerians at home and in the diaspora.

He described October 1 as a significant date that reflects Nigeria’s journey, shared aspirations, resilience in the face of challenges and the strength derived from standing together as one nation.

Ebipade said the anniversary should encourage reflection not only on the country’s past but also on the Nigeria citizens intend to build for present and future generations.

“Our diversity remains one of our greatest strengths, and we must continue to embrace one another irrespective of tribe, religion, political affiliation, or background,” he said.

Turning to Warri North, he said the celebration offered an opportunity to reaffirm the values of peace, courage, resilience, hard work, hospitality and community spirit.

“Our communities are blessed with great potential, hardworking youths, dedicated women, experienced leaders, and elders whose wisdom remains invaluable to our collective progress,” he stated.

Despite the challenges Nigeria has faced, Ebipade expressed optimism about its future, identifying unity, faith, patriotism, hard work, responsible leadership and commitment to service as essential to progress.

“With unity, faith, patriotism, hard work, responsible leadership, and a genuine commitment to service, we can overcome the obstacles before us and build a Nigeria and Delta State that future generations will be proud of,” he said.

He stressed that development was a collective responsibility. While acknowledging the role of government, he urged citizens, traditional institutions, community leaders, youths, women, professionals, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders to work together towards peaceful and prosperous communities.

On his legislative ambition, Ebipade reaffirmed his commitment to what he described as a new deal for Warri North Constituency II, anchored on quality representation, equal opportunity, youth empowerment, community development and inclusive leadership.

He also pledged meaningful engagement with every ward and community in the constituency.

“Our young people deserve opportunities to develop their talents, acquire useful skills, pursue meaningful careers, and contribute positively to society,” he said.

“Our communities deserve representation that listens, engages, and advocates for their legitimate needs.”

Ebipade called for greater opportunities for women to participate in economic and community development, while stressing that elders deserved respect and continued inclusion in decisions concerning the collective future.

He maintained that politics should prioritise people and public service, strengthen relationships between communities and their representatives, and create opportunities.

“I believe politics should ultimately be about people, service, responsibility, and development. It should bring communities together rather than divide them. It should create opportunities rather than deepen inequality,” he said.

“Above all, it should strengthen the bond between the people and those entrusted with representing them.”

In a direct appeal to the people of Warri North, Ebipade urged residents and those in the diaspora to remain peaceful and law-abiding.

“Therefore, I call on our people across Warri North, at home and in the diaspora, to continue to embrace peace, remain law-abiding, and protect the unity and dignity of our communities,” he stated.

“Let us reject violence, division, hatred, and actions capable of undermining the peace we have worked so hard to preserve.”

He urged the people to use the anniversary to renew their hope and commitment to a better future by supporting one another, encouraging young people, empowering communities and promoting peaceful coexistence.

Ebipade wished Nigerians a happy Independence Anniversary and expressed hope that the years ahead would bring greater prosperity, improved opportunities, peace and sustainable development to Warri North, Delta State and Nigeria.
