The Pere of Kabowei Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Barr. Shedrack Peremobowei Erebulu, Aduo III, has lauded GbaramatuVoice for its decade-long commitment to telling the true stories of the Niger Delta and reshaping public perception of the region.

The revered monarch made this known during a courtesy visit by the management team of GbaramatuVoice, led by its Publisher and Managing Director, Mr. Jacob Abai, to his palace in Patani, Delta State, ahead of the media organisation’s 10th anniversary celebration.

“I appreciate your resilience and effort,” the monarch said. “GbaramatuVoice goes all the way to tell the real stories of the Ijaw people, the Niger Delta, and Nigerians at large. You take the news directly to the people and present it in a better way.”

Highlighting the transformation of the region’s image, the Pere remarked:

“Before now, the Niger Delta was seen as a terror zone. But GbaramatuVoice has changed the narrative – people now see the region as a beautiful place, rich in culture and heritage.”

The monarch also acknowledged the media platform’s effective use of social media in telling its stories:

“Your entrance into the social media space has helped in spreading timely, authentic information. Most people today follow recent happenings in the Niger Delta through GbaramatuVoice’s pages.”

In a final note of encouragement, His Majesty stated:

“You’ve carved a niche for yourselves and owned it. Congratulations to the team and management. It’s amazing that this is only your 10th year with all you’ve achieved. I wish you greater heights as you celebrate.”

In response, Mr. Jacob Abai expressed his profound gratitude for the royal support and assured the monarch of the organisation’s continued dedication to amplifying the voices and realities of the Niger Delta people.
