Worrisome situation of Ofougbene primary school in Burutu, Delta state (PHOTOS)
Ofougbene Primary School, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta state, was in a sorry state when GbaramatuVoice team visited. The situation can best be described as pathetic. The Pupils lack a good learning environment with dilapidated building, no writing desks or learning tools and no proper staffroom for teachers.

Visits to other riverine schools in the course of this report have revealed that many public schools in Delta state need urgent attention from the government and relevant agencies.
Others include a lack of electricity and potable water. Some schools in the riverine areas lack adequate numbers of teachers to take all the classes.
