Warri South West Secretary Donates Drums and Cash to Schools

On Tuesday, March 5, numerous schools were the beneficiaries of a gracious donation comprising drums and cash from Hon. Gladys Omare Gabari, the Secretary of Warri South West Local Government Council of Delta State. The presentation, hosted at the local government council secretariat in Ogbe-Ijoh, was aimed at bolstering education and fostering community development initiatives.

In her address during the presentation, Hon. Gladys Omare Gabari expressed gratitude to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Tuoyo Duke, for the opportunity to serve as secretary to the local government. She emphasized the importance of nurturing the potential of primary school pupils, who she believes are the future leaders of tomorrow.

The donation of school drums to selected primary schools across the local government area reflects Hon. Omare’s commitment to education and youth development. She urged headmasters and teachers to ensure the proper use and maintenance of the drums for the benefit of the children.

Mrs. Regina Ojigwe, the Headmistress of Ikpere Primary School in Ugborodo, conveyed appreciation for Hon. Omare’s efforts in revitalizing the education system and bringing joy to pupils in various schools.

Dignitaries present at the ceremony included Hon. Fanti Goodness, former CDC Chairman of Gbaramatu; Hon. Emmanuel Golly, Local Educational Authority Secretary; Mrs. Afi Dafe, Woman Leader of Gbaramatu; and Hon. Hilary Okonedo, Supervisory Council for Community Development.

Among the beneficiary schools were Ewein Primary School in Ogbe-Ijoh, Akori Primary School in Isaba, Oboro Primary School in Benikurukuru, Ikpere Primary School in Ugborodo, Okerenkoko Primary School in Okerenkoko, Ogeh Primary School in Kunukunuma, Fiyewei Primary School in Oporoza, Jei Jei Primary School in Kurutie, and Omaretetsone Primary School in Ogisugben.
