WARRI FEDERAL: I’ll reclaim my stolen mandate, Labour Party House of Reps candidate blasts INEC
…Says results were manipulated to favour PDP
The Labour Party candidate for House of Representatives, Warri Federal constitutency, Dr. Young Pero Omatseye, has slammed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the manner the electoral body conducted the just concluded election.
Omatseye made this known in an exclusive interview with GbaramatuVoice on Thursday lamenting that just like his principal, the presidential candidate of the Labour Larty, Peter Obi, was denied of his mandate, he was also denied and his mandate will soon get back to him as he will be challenging the outcome of the election in the Tribunal.

Omatseye while speaking to GbaramatuVoice, pointed out that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the party in control in Delta state is fond of asking opposition parties to go to court to seek redress stressing that “nobody have the monopoly of court”.
Omatseye further claimed that INEC simply assigned votes to the PDP in Warri North and he scored over 16000 votes in Warri South and he is ready to prove his case in court adding that the result which was used to announce the winner was laughable.
He castigated INEC for their unprofessionalism as the results announced at the collation center is different from the one uploaded in the IREV.
He went further to talk about how vigorously he campaigned more than the other candidates.
Omatseye further opened up on the physical assaults of Labour Party agents in the office of INEC and he stated that the party agents did not sign any of the results sheets and these are the issues that will be tabled in the tribunal.
He said: “Yes, the results were announced in three days time, it was a thing of back and forth because we were there, they were supposed to announce it on Sunday but they delayed because they got an info that they want to manipulate the result.
“The second day, they were beating our collation officer, in the INEC office the EO, the electorate, all of them are just PDP members and them, so it was something that you will never expect this to happen in Warri but I tell you this was literally what happened, the PDP big wings, they were seated inside the INEC office, they drove all our agents out, they didn’t want us to know what’s going on and we still got info that this is what is going on.
“I called the DSS and I called Area Command and they came in and when they went inside they tried to put the abnormalities in place but all to my greatest surprise they left too and that day nothing could happen.
“The following day, we heard that 4am they are changing the results, we came there, this was where we have issues, we have videos of evidence of all of these things, where they tied the hand of our collation officer, forcing them to sign results.
“So as a matter of fact, none of our agents signed any of those results that was uploaded, they went to sign it the way they want to sign it and we are waiting for them we will prove it to the court of law.”
