[VIDEO] A family devastated by flood that you must not ignore in Delta
The attached is a documented account of a family the GbaramatuVoice Interventionist Food Bank team encountered during our visit and distribution of food items and other relief materials to flood devastated victims in Bomadi and Burutu Local Government Area of Delta state.
The family which consists of Grandmother, Mother and two little female children aged between 3 and 4 years lives right inside the canoe along the Ayakoromo river. They have lost all their property to the flood including their occupational means of survival.
They have lived in the open canoe floating on top of an open river for weeks and have to stay without food for some days.
It was a terrible situation.
If other flood victims are going through a challenging moment, the condition of this particular family is excruciating, dehumanizing, agonizing, deplorable and calls for immediate consideration.
Thus, as a human and humane organization, GbaramatuVoice cannot ignore this family. They need not just assistance but urgent intervention from good spirited Niger Deltans, Nigerians, Interventionist agencies, Local, state and Federal Governments.
While we thank you in anticipation of your donation(s), we sincerely request that any individual, group, governmental agencies willing to reach out to them can reach out to us at GbaramatuVoice, through our office or call us on: +2348030891146, +2348143459986. Email: gbaramatuvoice@gmail.com
