Underground plot to undermine Supreme Court order on INEC to delineate electoral wards, units in three Warri LGAs exposed
GbaramatuVoice has uncovered a high powered underground plot by some political bigwigs in the three Warri Local Government Areas, working in connivance with other political heavyweights in the state, and the state Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to undermine the Supreme Court judgment on INEC to carry out fresh delineation of electoral wards and units in Warri South West, Warri South and Warri North Local Government Areas of the state.
Spearheading this plot to scuttle the enforcement of the judgment is a frontline senatorial candidate from one out of the three affected local government areas. He was said to have led the delegation and chaired the meeting on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at the Asaba office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) where the decision not to enforce the Supreme court order was taken.
It would be recalled that the nation’s apex court recently ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to carry out fresh delineation of electoral wards and units before future elections in the affected areas.
