All is now set at Tubutoru Ijaw kingdom in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo state for the celebration of the one year coronation anniversary of their monarch, His Royal Majesty, Pere Gbebokedi Ajiri-Oba, Oguruyeke, Okirimini 1, Paramount Ruler of Tubutoru.
This event, our correspondent gathered, is scheduled for 13th October, 2017 at the spacious palace square.
A visit to the community by GbaramatuVoice revealed that majority of the sons and daughters of the kingdom both within and in the diaspora have arrived in readiness for this special event.
Our correspondent also gathered that the town is wearing a new look occasioned by this forthcoming ceremony. Dignitaries from far and near have started trouping in their numbers.
Also, while speaking with our correspondent at the Pere’s Palace, the Tonwei of Tubutoru, Chief Joseph Uduboh described the event as a very remarkable one that brings all Tubutoru sons and daughters together to celebrate their very rich culture.
He added that this ceremony provides the town the opportunity to brainstorm and come up with useful ideas that will move their people as well as the town forward.
He further pointed out that this anniversary celebration has become to the town a carnival of the sort which every sons and daughter of the town look up to.
Buttressing the significance of this event, the Palace chief stated that this elaborate event usually comes with funfairs and other interesting side attractions which includes but not limited; traditional homage-paying, cultural displays, and traditional dances, among other activities.
