The 54th birthday of High Chief (Dr.) Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, widely known as Tompolo, has drawn tributes from far and wide, with Elder (Engr.) Pius Donyegha, a respected Ijaw leader in Edo State, joining voices to salute the iconic figure for his enduring impact on the Ijaw nation and the broader Niger Delta.
Speaking on behalf of all Ijaws in Edo State, Elder Donyegha, who is also the Chairman of Pydon Nigeria Limited, hailed Tompolo as a symbol of strength, courage, and visionary leadership whose influence has reshaped the destiny of many across the region.
In his message titled “54 Years of Influence: Saluting Tompolo on His Birthday,” Elder Donyegha described Tompolo not just as a security contractor, but as a historic figure whose life has been dedicated to protecting the interest of the Ijaw people, standing firm in the face of adversity, and building a legacy rooted in empowerment and regional pride.
“From the creeks of Gbaramatu to the cities where Ijaws reside, your name resonates as a man who gave voice to the voiceless, who defended our land when it mattered most, and who now drives progress through strategic interventions in security and development,” Donyegha stated.
He noted that under Tompolo’s leadership, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited has become a critical force in securing national oil assets and restoring dignity to communities long neglected by the state.
According to Elder Donyegha, the Ijaw people of Edo State remain grateful for Tompolo’s contributions and continue to draw inspiration from his story. “We are proud of your journey, and we celebrate you not just as a leader, but as a movement — a living embodiment of Ijaw resilience and hope,” he said.
As Tompolo marks his 54th birthday, Elder Donyegha offered prayers for divine protection, sound health, and continued wisdom to guide his mission.
“May this new chapter bring greater strength as you lead, and deeper joy as you see the fruits of your sacrifices,” the message concluded.
