TANTITA: You’re selfish, former MEND commander slams Aroni over statement on pipeline surveillance contract
Former commander of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), General Norway Tondigha, has berated Mr Aroni Oputu, the leader of the Egbema group for being self-centered.
GbaramatuVoice recalls that Aroni in a recent statement had talked about Egbema youths getting jobs in Tantita security to be part of the pipeline security surveillance job which was awarded by the federal government.
His statement has provoked many Egbmea leaders who stated that Aroni lied and his opinion does not reflect the general view of the Egbema people.
Joining the argument, a former Mend Commander Norway Tondigha also known as Igbadudu in a statement issued to the press stated that Aroni’s statement and group in Egbema land are fake.
Tondigha said: “Aroni led Ex- Agitators are fake and are not recognized in the kingdom for any productive movement, implementing that the only groups known to everyone in the Kingdom are Egbema Ex- Agitators, Egbema Peace Keeping Force and Egbema Youth Forum, adding that, they are bunkers hidden under a faceless group called Egbema Focused Group.”
Tondigha also disclosed that the “selfish and self centered publication” of Aroni and his colleagues does not enjoy popular support and if it does, they should call out the names giving the support.
According to the former freedom fighter, Aroni is using those faceless bunkers to cause confusion in the kingdom and also to make the people see Tantita boss, Tompolo as a greedy fellow.
Tondigha pointed out that Aroni’s recent action was as because he was not given a free hand to operate in the Bunkering activities as it was during the time the contract was awarded to Captain Ihosa in 2015 to 2023, adding that Tantita Security Nigeria Limited is the best to handle his illegal activities, that is why he is looking for every possible means to rubbish the company’s image.
He said: “In 2015 /2023 the reasons why Mr Aroni oputu and other bunkers didn’t made any statement during the era of Captain ihosa was because they were freely doing bunkering as a legitimate business, now that Tantita security services Nigeria limited refused them such opportunities, this is the reason why they are protesting in disguise under a faceless group called Egbema focused group and other faceless groups.
“We the Ex-agitators in Egbema kingdom wants to use this opportunity to call on President Bola Tunubu to immediately reaward the pipeline security contract to tantita security services Nigeria limited before the regroup of oil theft especially the Big fish and the pockets bunkers.”
Tondigha also tasked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led government to renew the contract to Tantita Security Nigeria Limited so that they can continue in doing what they know how to do best.
