Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited has gifted a four-bedroom, three-parlour duplex worth ₦70 million in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, to popular visually impaired comedian Kelly Igberhi, known as Kellyblind. The official presentation took place on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Tantita’s Head Office in Bendel Estate, Ugborikoko, Delta State.
The General Manager (Operations) of Tantita Security Services, Mr. Godfrey Tare Pondi, handed over the house documents on behalf of the company’s Managing Director, High Chief (Engr.) Kestin Pondi. He stated that the company is not only committed to securing pipelines but also to protecting lives and supporting talented individuals. He described the gesture as the fulfillment of a promise made by Engr. Kestin Pondi to Kellyblind.
Kellyblind, who lost his sight at the age of 11 due to measles, expressed appreciation for the support. He revealed that he became homeless after the Lagos State Government demolished his house on July 25, 2018. He recalled meeting Engr. Pondi at the TenTen Concert in November 2024 at KFT Place, where he shared his story. Following his performance, Engr. Pondi pledged to buy him a house.
Kellyblind’s wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Igberhi, also expressed gratitude, stating that she initially doubted the promise but now acknowledges Engr. Pondi as a man of his word.
A close associate of Kellyblind, MC Simon, who was present at the event, commended Tantita Security Services for its humanitarian intervention. He reiterated that the company’s impact extends beyond pipeline security.
The donation has provided a permanent home for Kellyblind and his family, marking a significant milestone in his journey.
