As the countdown to the 2019 general elections ticks the immediate past governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, is riding on the crest of popular approval.
The latest endorsement for the former governor’s senatorial ambition is coming from Delta South Women Initiative (DESOWIN), which is a social cultural group, made up of Ijaw, Isoko and Itsekiri women.
DESOWIN has announced its decision to back Uduaghan all the way as a result of his legacies while governing the state for eight years.
The group, led by Comrade Enifome Okoro, made the declaration at the end of a meeting in Warri, Delta state on Thursday.
Comrade Enifome said considering what Uduaghan has done for the district in his personal capacity, it would be foolhardy for them to fold their arms while another person grabs the post.
