See How Pere of Iduwini In Delta Celebrated His 30th Coronation Anniversary In Grand Style (PHOTOS)
All roads led to the sleepy town of Ofougbene in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta state when on Sunday, August 6, eminent monarchs from far and near as well as politicians, chiefs, businessmen and sons and daughters of the soil converged on the ancient town to join His Royal Majesty, King Bosu Dio (JP), Ayamabulou 1, the Pere of Iduwini Kingdom to celebrate his 30th year on the throne of his forefathers.
The royal father who was flanked by his beautiful queen received guests including High Chief Bibopere Ajube, the Beleukoriwei of Arogbo-Ijaw Kingdom in a joyful mood during the historic colourful coronation ceremony.
Some of the top dignitaries that graced the occasion are the Hon. Julius Pondi, Member representing Burutu Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Environment; the Hon. Alapala Anthony Ebitonmo, Member representing Burutu Constituency 1, Delta State House of Assembly; Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele, Chairman, Burutu Local Government Council; Chief Combolous Ikisa, Vice Chairman, Burutu Local Government Council; Hon. Spencer Okpoye, Honourable Commissioner, Ijaw Ethnic Nationality; Engr. Akin Benikurukuru, Chairman, Iduwini Host Communities Development Trust (HCDT), Delta state; Comrade Princewill Binebai, Spokesman of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide; Representatives of Burutu School of Marine Technology, among others.
Top traditional rulers at the ceremony were the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom and Chairman, Delta State Ijaw Traditional Rulers Forum, His Royal Majesty, Elder (Capt.) Dr. Joseph I. Timiyan (JP), Agbonu, Torububor 1; HRM Pere Stanley Perediegha Luke, Kalanama VIII (JP), Pere of Akugbene-Mein Kingdom; HRM Charles Ayemi-Botu, the Lion of the Niger, the Paramount Ruler of Seimbiri Kingdom; HRM Barr. Peremobowei Sheddrack Erebulu, Aduo III, Pere of Kabowei kingdom; HRM King Owoupele Danladi Foubiri, Agulu 1, Ebenanaowei of Tarakiri Kingdom, HRM Pere of Oporomo Kingdom.
Others are HRM King Couple Oromoni, Pere Amakosu, Monbene III, Pere of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom; HRM Dr Jackson F. Angalabiri, Egbain II, Pere of Kumbowei Kingdom; Ovie of Ozoro, His Royal Majesty, Ovietobore Anthony Ogbogbo; High Chief Augustine Sibe, representing Pere of Obotebe Kingdom; Gbaramatu Traditional Rulers Council of Chief graced the colourful occasion.
The monarch also used the occasion to confer chieftaincy titles on eminent sons and daughters, who had distinguished themselves in their respective careers.
