GBARAMATU VOICE observed that the buildings in the expansive yard at the Kurutie temporary site include a storey building that houses the VC’s office and its supporting staff. Others include offices for the Registrar, Bursar, HoDs, Deans, Accounts department, Boardroom, Conference room, general offices and other ancillary offices that are all furnished.
Other structures include a 1,200 capacity ceremonial pavilion, a 9 bed medical centre with a yet to be furnished digital laboratory, workshop block, a storey building with a 12 classroom block, two canteens, an e-learning centre and a fully furnished 200 capacity lecture auditorium.
Also on the premises are two furnished hostel blocks of a storey building each, meant to accommodate about 300 students, library building with two archives, librarian’s office and two reading areas that can accommodate about 60 students at peak time as well as a fully furnished storey building with office spaces for about 45 lecturers.
There is also the well-furnished University Guest House, a three floor building of 9 rooms for the university senior staff aside two blocks for middle level and junior staff, as well as a separate three bedroom duplex for the VC. Others are an Olympic size swimming pool with separate diving tanks.
