PORT-HARCOURT – An operative of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and three kidnappers have been killed in a shoot-out when some operatives went on a mission to arrest the kidnappers in their hideout within a forest in Omademe, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Speaking on the development, the Police P.R.O, Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed the incident and explained that the kidnappers were the ones terrorizing Ipo, Omerelu, Ubima etc. He stated that some of the hoodlums were arrested and advised the public to report anyone with gunshot wounds since some of them escaped with injuries from gunshots.
He said the raid was to reduce the scourge of the hoodlums in that axis and promised the command will not relent even with the death of one of its men.
