ROYAL VISIT: Revered Gbaramatu Monarch To Storm Tubutoru Ijaw Kingdom

In his quest to establish a peaceful coexistence among the villages and towns of Ijaw origin, the first class traditional ruler of Gbaramatu kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oboro-Gbaraun II, (Aketekpe, Agadagba) will tour the Tubutoru Ijaw Kingdom in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo state.

According to a release by the Palace Administrator, Agadagba shall be embarking on a two-day working visit to the kingdom starting from Thursday 12th to Friday 13th October, 2017.

GbaramatuVoice gathered that he will arrive Taribor community, the ancestral headquarters of Tubutoru Ijaw Kingdom on Thursday 12th October 2017.

Continuing, the release stated that His Royal Majesty, Oboro-Gbaraun II, will join the traditional ruler of Tubutoru Ijaw kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Pere Gbebokedi Daisi Ajiri-Oba, the Oguruyeke, Okirimini 1 of Tubutoru in marking his one year coronation anniversary slated for Friday 13th October, 2017.

The Palace also stated that he will use the opportunity to offer prayers to the gods of the land and God Almighty for unity, peace, tranquility, and development in the kingdom.

Speaking on this development, Comr. Austin Ozobo, the President of Ijaw Peoples Development Initiative, IPDI praised his Royal Majesty for providing exemplary leadership in the area of promoting peace, tranquility, and oneness among the Ijaw nation. This development he added has succeeded in making the people irrespective of their state divides to be speaking in one voice as a tribe.

In a related development, our correspondent who is part of Aketekpe’s advanced team reported that Taribor is wearing a new look and the people in a festive mood occasioned by the anticipated visit of His Royal Majesty (HRM), Oboro-Gbaraun II.

An indigene of Taribor community who spoke to our correspondent on the condition of anonymity praised the magnanimity of Oboro-Gbaraun II in identifying with their kingdom irrespective of his very tight schedules.

He further stressed that his constant visit has made them feel that sense of belonging knowing very well that they are not alone but have sister towns in other states such as Delta, Edo, and others.

This planned visit will be the second official visit by the Gbaramatu Monarch, His Royal Majesty (HRM), Oboro-Gbaraun 11 outside his kingdom after his coronation in 2016.
