Renowned Gbaramatu Icon, Late Pa. Okoro, Set for Final Resting Place at Age 100

Late Pa. Okoro Ugwakpemi Meeting, popularly known as Osumoru-Ikpokpo, a highly esteemed figure in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Delta State, is set to be laid to rest. Late Pa. Okoro, who lived to the remarkable age of 100, leaves behind a legacy cherished by many.

Pa Okoro is the father of Elder Amos Okoro, President of the Happy Men’s Club and a dedicated staff member at Chevron Nigeria Limited.

The announcement, made by Capt. Alangba Guwor for the family and Capt. Elder Paul Okoro for the children, extends a warm invitation to the general public to join in honoring the life and legacy of Late Pa. Okoro.

Scheduled to take place from on Friday, March 29th to Sunday, March 31st, the Burial Arrangement encompasses a series of ceremonies designed to commemorate the life of Late Pa. Okoro.

The events will commence with the departure of the body from New Heaven Mortuary, Emebiren, at 8:00 am on Friday, followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 pm and a Social Wake until dawn hosted by the family.

On Saturday, March 30th, a Brief church service will convene at Christ Anglican Church, Oporoza, followed by the Interment ceremony at 9:00 am. The series of events will culminate on Sunday, March 31st, with a Thanksgiving service at 9:00 am, also at Christ Anglican Church, Oporoza.

The Burial Ceremony serves as an opportunity for family, friends, and well-wishers to unite in remembrance and celebration of a life well-lived.

As arrangements progress for this solemn yet commemorative event, the family warmly invites the general public to honor and celebrate the life of a man revered by all.
