Rt. Hon. Julius Gbabojor Pondi, the Member representing Burutu Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, has laid the groundwork for a new ultra-modern town hall in Ogulagha Community within four months.

He made the announcement during the inauguration of the newly elected executives of the Ogulagha Community, held at the community secretariat.

Hon. Pondi commended the community for conducting a peaceful and transparent election, praising the Electoral Committee for ensuring a credible process.

The proposed town hall is expected to include air-conditioned offices, televisions, and modern seating arrangements. To signal immediate commencement, Pondi stated that Chief Emmanuel Amgbaduba, Chairman of the PDP Delta South Senatorial District, would lay the foundation block for the project before the reception ceremony.

In addition to the town hall, Hon. Pondi announced a N3.5 billion allocation for infrastructure development in Burutu Local Government Area in the current federal budget. He noted that Burutu LGA comprises 78 communities and assured that all would benefit from the planned projects.

He also stated that less than 20 of the communities have seen substantial infrastructural interventions, and efforts are ongoing to cover more areas.

The foundation laying for the new town hall marked the beginning of the project in Ogulagha, with residents and stakeholders present at the event.
