The Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom, Elder (Capt.) King Joseph Timiyan JP, Agbonu, Torububor 1, has conferred a chieftaincy title on the Ibenemowei of Gbaramatu kingdom, Engr. Kestin Pondi.
The traditional ruler conferred the title, ‘Dikeremowei’ of Ogulagha kingdom, meaning “visionary and a man full of wisdom” on Pondi, during the 15th Coronation Anniversary Ceremony at his Palace in Obotobo II Community.
Conferring the title, the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha said the conferment and honour was hinged on Pondi’s love for the people and deep respect for the traditional institution in Ijaw nation.
He said the Ogulagha kingdom was proud of him and his achievements as son of the land.
Chief Kestin Pondi thanked Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha kingdom for the honour given to him and assured him that he would continue to work for the development of the kingdom.
The GbaramatuVoice reports that the occasion was attended by prominent personalities including the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, politicians and first class traditional rulers, among others.
