PHOTOS: Outpouring of tributes as Ijaw nation celebrates Emeritus Professor Alagoa’s 90th birthday in grand style
Ijaw nation, members of the academic community, political leaders, family members, and well-wishers of Emeritus Professor of History and Diplomatic Studies, Ebiegberi Joe Alagoa gathered on Saturday, August 26, 2023, to celebrate him at the DSP Alamieyesegha Memorial Banquet Hall, Yenagoa, Bayelsa state where his 90th birthday was marked in grand style.
It was an occasion that also featured the launching of his new book titled “Ebisuodei”.
Dignitaries at event include the Executive Governor of Bayelsa state, Senator Douye Diri; former deputy governor of Bayelsa state, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah (retd); His Royal Majesty, King Bubaraye Dakolo, Agada IV, the Ibenanawei of Ekpetiama Kingdom and Chairman, Bayelsa State Traditional Rulers Council; His Royal Majesty King Amalate Johnnie Turner, Obanobhan III of Olei, Oloibiri Kingdom; Ambassador (Dr.) Godknows Boladei Igali, Pro-Chancellor & Chairman Governing Council; Chief (Mrs.) Remi Kuku, Member, BOT People’s Democratic Party (PDP); Ms Annkio Briggs, Environmental and Human Rights Activist; Alabo (Dr.) Nengi James, OON, 2nd Vice President, Ijaw National Congress (INC), among others.
