[PHOTOS] Ogulagha Chief, Ebike Benidiwei, donates food items to orphanage to mark birthday
As part of activities marking her birthday, the Ibe-Doubramienere of Ogulagha Kingdom, Chief (Mrs.) Ebike Benidiwei, today donated provisions, food stuffs and toiletries worth thousands of Naira to the Obruche Orphanage Home in Warri, Delta State.
Mrs Benidiwei, a businesswoman, told GbaramatuVoice that she decided to celebrate her birthday at the facility because of her love for children.
“My reason of celebrating this year’s birthday with the less privilege today is not for any negative purpose, we’ve enough food to eat in our house but there’re alot of children who have nothing to eat or drink, so it is nice to reach out to these persons.”
Mrs Benidiwei also called on Nigerians to recognise the less privileged, stressing the need for wealthy citizens to show support at all times.
In appreciation, the matron of the orphanage home, Bishop Sibe Oghenevwede, thanked the celebrant and invited guests and prayed for more success in all her endeavours.
The event was well attended by friends, well wishers, corps members, among others.
