[PHOTOS] Mele Kyari, Chief of Defence Staff visit site of discovered illegal oil pipeline in Delta
The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mallam Mele Kyari, and the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor on Friday, October 8, 2022 visited the scene of the newly discovered illegal pipeline attached to Trans Escravos pipeline at Yokri Flow Station in Ogulagha oil field, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta state.
They were accompanied by Chief Kestin Pondi, the Chief Executive Officer, Tantita Security Services Limited; Bala Bunti, Group General Manager, National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS), among others.
Preliminary investigation showed that the illegal pipeline led to an illegal loading point in the creeks where large quantities of crude oil are allegedly being diverted and stolen.
