[PHOTOS] Celebration as Former MEND commander dedicates son in church
It was a festival of praise and thanksgiving to God on Sunday at the Redeemed Christian Church Of God, House of Liberty Mega Parish, Ugbolokposo, Effurun, Delta state, as family and friends joined former commander of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), Mr. Thompson Igere aka Tallest Commander and his wife, Sandra, to dedicate their third child to God.
Speaking during the church service, Thompson Igere, who is fondly addressed as Tallest Commander by friends and admirers, thanked God for the gift of a bouncing baby boy whom they christened Royalty Tamaraodemode Thompson Igere.
He noted that the family was particularly grateful to God that the baby was delivered without any form of complication.
On her part, Mrs Igere, mother of Tamaraodemode, while thanking God for granting her a safe delivery, specifically narrated to the bewildered worshippers how God miraculously changed the doctor’s report concerning the pregnancy and delivery from being complicated to a safe delivery.
The well attended ceremony was graced by family and friends from all walks of life and officiated by Joladu Oladimeji, the resident Pastor of the church.
