[PHOTO STORY] Pondi, Bebenimibo, Asupa, others attend final burial ceremony of late Mrs Timiebi Ekanpou in Delta

Oyangbene community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, on Saturday January 21, 2023, played host to some of the political bigwigs in Delta South Senatorial district, prominent Ijaw sons and daughters and other distinguished personalities within the state.

They were in the peaceful and culturally rich Oyangbene community to commiserate with one of their very own, Mr. Ekanpou Enewaridideke, Niger Delta literary icon and Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta state, as he buries his beloved mother, Mrs Timiebi Maika Ekanpou.

The deceased who passed away August 30, 2020 at 79-year old, was before her demise, a well respected woman leader in the community, a storyteller and naturally endowed with philosophical wisdom.

The roll call of dignitaries present at the event include the Member Representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi; Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, Commissioner, representing Ijaw Ethnic Nationality in the board of DESOPADEC, Hon. Asupa Forteta, Member representing Burutu North Constituency, Delta State House of Assembly; Chief Anthony Alapala, 2023 APC Candidate for Burutu North Constituency.

Others include; Chief Francis Boumiebi, Ogungbenwei of Ogulagha Kingdom; Chief Moses Bebenimibo, Amadiwei of Kunukunuma town; Hon. Austin Ozobo, Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta state, friends and family members, among others.
