By Abai Francis

A one time councillorship aspirant of Warri South West council area of Delta State, Engr. Messiah Olaye, has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) remains the last beacon of hope for Nigerians as the 2019 general elections draw near.

He made this disclosure in a congratulatory message to the flag bearers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on their emergence at the just concluded national convention and primaries across the country.

Part of the congratulatory message reads, “I say congratulations to the Presidential flag bearer of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party, in the person of His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who emerged as the winner among all the qualified candidates during the party’s national convention that held in Port Harcourt.

“I also congratulate our amiable governor, His Excellency, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and his deputy, Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, for not only emerging unopposed as the governorship and deputy governorhip candidates of our party, but for His Excellency successfully chairing the committee that made the PDP national convention a huge success as well as for the peaceful conduct of the various primaries that held across the state. He has proven to all that he is a great master planner that can deliver against all odds.

“Moreover, I also congratulate the likes of the flagbearer of Delta South Senatorial district, Senator James Manager; the flagbearer for House of Representatives in Warri Federal Constituency, Chief Thomas Eyeritomi and the flagbearer for House of Assembly in Warri South West constituency, Mr. Emomotimi Guwor, for emerging victorious at the primaries.

“With the calibre of personalities that will be representing the party at the general elections, there is no doubt that the PDP remains the beacon of hope to salvage Nigeria from the doldrums of poverty and recession,” he added.

Engr. Olaye also called on all party faithfuls, especially those who lost in the party’s primaries, to rally their supporters for the final victory of the PDP flagbearers, noting that their victory also means victory for all.
