March 1st, 2024, Ikwuorie Autonomous Community in Ohanku Ndoki Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State witnessed a historic event as Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, the General Overseer Of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), was officially crowned as His Royal Majesty, IHIE 1 of Ikwuorie Autonomous Community.
The ceremony, graced by dignitaries and residents alike, marked the end of a decade-long wait for a new king following the passing of their former monarch, His Royal Highness Prof Isaac Nnanna Kanu in 2013.
For the past eleven years, the community had been without a king, grappling with the void left by their late leader. Despite efforts to find a suitable successor, the community faced challenges until they unanimously chose Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere as their monarch.
Apostle Chinyere’s journey to kingship was one of humility and sacrifice. Despite initially declining the position, citing his desire to support a chosen successor, the community persisted, patiently waiting for him to accept the responsibility. On January 3rd, 2024, Apostle Chinyere embraced the call to serve his people, driven by his deep love and commitment to their welfare.
The community’s joy knew no bounds as Apostle Chinyere’s acceptance brought a renewed sense of hope and optimism. His ascension to the throne signifies a new era of progress and development for Ikwuorie Autonomous Community.
