Accord to him; “This is one of the boldest attempts to overhaul the petroleum sector in Nigeria and if diligently implemented, will help facilitate the development of host communities and the economy of Nigeria at large by attracting and creating investment opportunities for local and foreign investors.”
“It was conducted between June and July, 2023, for the benefit of all stakeholders and was prepared with competence, transparency and acceptability which is devoid of any manipulation, interference and influence by any stakeholder”.
“It was also in line with the provisions of the PIA, taking into consideration the social, environmental and economic perspectives of each community.”
“We should also forget that it will serve as the bedrock and infrastructural template for the Host Community Development Trust, HCDT, BOT and other organs of the Trust as well as enable the PPL to implement the PIA for effective community development in its operational areas of the state,” he added.
Highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the Needs Assessment and the CDP by CEPEJ’s National Coordinator to PPL and was received by its Base Manager, Barr. Eka-Iloma Anioye, on behalf of the Managing Director, Mr. John Anim.
