Okerenkoko Community Announces Dates For 2017 General Election

Okerenkoko Federated Community in Gbaramatu kingdom has announced Saturday, 27th May,  2017 for conduct of community election.

A statement signed by Hon. Bethus Emmanuel, Chairman and Sir Roland Ekpemupolo, Secretary, Electoral Committee (EC) says submission of all purchased forms is scheduled on Thursday 25th May,  2017 while manifestos by all aspirants and accreditation of delegates come up Friday 26th.

Meanwhile, ongoing sales of forms into elective positions of Okerenkoko  Federated Community comes to an end Thursday 25th, May 2017.

The statement further disclosed that elections into various offices, excluding office of the chairman, holds Saturday 27th, while election into office of the chairman is slated Monday 29th.

The statement stressed further that before the election proper, all candidates are expected to sign a peace accord in order to avoid any form of conflict or rancour.

The committee appealed to candidates to desist from recruiting political thugs and making inciting comments during electioneering.
