The Bakpa family, well-known in Oporoza town, headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri-South West Local Government Area of Delta State, and with connections to Jumawotor of Agbarho-Otor in Ughelli North Local Area Government, Delta State, has announced the burial ceremony of their beloved matriarch, Late Mama Esther Ayuma Oton Rhorhomi Bakpa, who lived to the remarkable age of 101, from 1922 to 2023.
In a burial announcement signed by Capt. Bakpa Yerinmene on behalf of the family and Minister Miyenmene Kemiyen for the children, the late Mama Esther Ayuma Bakpa will be honored through a series of events starting on Thursday, 30th November, 2023, at 3 PM with a Service of Songs at her residence in Oporoza.
The commemorative activities will continue on Friday, 1st December, 2023, with the procession of her body from Ame Specialist Mortuary, departing at 8:00 AM via Miller Waterside to her hometown, Oporoza. The day will culminate in a Funeral Service at 4:00 PM, followed by a Wake Keeping and Entertainment of Guests.
On Saturday, 2nd December, 2023, at 7 AM, the community will engage in interment activities to bid their final farewell to this respected figure.
The series of events will conclude on Sunday, 3rd December, 2023, at 8 AM, with a Thanksgiving service at New Jerusalem Church, Zion Oporoza.
