The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) at the weekend said it would fully commercialise its operations by July 1, 2022.
This was even as it commenced moves to tackle crude oil theft in the Niger Delta region with support from the Nigerian Navy.
The NNPC Group Managing Director (GMD), Malam Mele Kyari, made the disclosure during the launch of the National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS) Electronic Materials Management Solution EMMS) and two ISO certifications in Abuja.

According to him, a switch to CAMA company would be beneficial to the country and the sector.
“We know this is good for our country and we know this is good for the industry. Today our data and processes are excellent but they can be better than excellent.
“By 1st of July I am sure we are going to invite everyone here to join us to switch over to an entirely new company.”
Similarly, Kyari lamented the current destruction to the industry’s operations due to activities of vandals and criminals on the pipeline in the Niger Delta area.
