Niger Delta Development: PAP Administrator Otuaro Hosts IYC President in Abuja (PHOTOS)

The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Chief Dennis Otuaro, PhD, today hosted the President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Comrade Jonathan Lokpobiri SNR, in Abuja. The meeting is part of Dr. Otuaro’s ongoing efforts to engage with key stakeholders in the Niger Delta to promote peace and advance the development of the region under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Since assuming office, Dr. Otuaro has actively engaged with various groups within the Niger Delta, emphasizing the importance of peace and stability as the foundation for regional development.

During the meeting, he outlined his plans for the well-being of ex-agitators and youths, particularly in the areas of education and empowerment, which are central to his administration’s strategy.

He emphasized the need for sustained collaboration between the government and grassroots organizations like the IYC to ensure that these plans are effectively implemented.

Lokpobiri expressed his support for Dr. Otuaro’s initiatives, pledging the Ijaw Youth Council’s cooperation in working towards lasting peace and development in the Niger Delta. He highlighted the critical role of the youth in maintaining stability in the region and assured the PAP Administrator of the IYC’s commitment to fostering an environment conducive to growth and progress.

The discussions also highlighted the need for continuous dialogue between the government and regional organizations to address the challenges facing the Niger Delta, ensuring that development efforts align with the needs of the communities.
