An activist, Comr. Sheriff Mulade has assured the people of the Warri South West constituency of quality representation in the state House of Assembly, if elected in 2019.

The hitherto chairman of Kokodiagbene community in Gbaramatu kingdom made the promise shortly, after the inauguration of the Mulade Consultation Campaign Committee (MCCC), a platform created for the actualization of his political vision.

He also noted that his desire to give his people a purposeful representation was his only reason for joining the race.

His words, “I want to assure my good people of Warri South West Local Government Area and Deltans in general that, the time has come to move our dear state forward, particularly, the Warri South West constituency, with people-oriented legislative programmes, with special focus on building peaceful co-existence among ethnic groups.

“The time to provide Environmental Justice for Deltans, particularly oil and gas host communities and collaborating with security agencies to end criminality and support Governor Okowa’s ‘Smart Agenda’, to attract development is now and I am offering myself for service to my people”.

In his acceptance speech, the chairman of the committee, Hon. Edah Ogbodu explained that, the mantle of leadership being given to him is a call to service.

“With this inaugural ceremony today, we are going to hit the ground running.

“We are going to reach out to the ‘who is who’, in the politics of Warri South West Local Government Area and other stakeholders in the state.

“We will not disappoint the confidence reposed on us”, he pledged.

Few weeks ago, a socio-political youth group in the area, Gbaramatu Political Youth Vanguard (GPYV), had called on Mulade to join the Delta State House of Assembly race and replicate what he has done as
the National Coordinator, Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), by bringing the ideals of the people to bear on the area.

In its statement released by the Mobilization Officer, Benjamin Idina Gelemo, in its meeting at Kokodiaghene community, the group said; “We need a quality representative who will continue in the footpaths of Hon Daniel Mayuku in order to sustain and attract the desired developments to our dear state, particularly the Warri South West.

”We therefore call and urge Mr. Sheriff Mulade to honour this call and come out to represent us.

“We do not need a political stooge; we need a representative that has fear of God, humble and has the interest of the people at heart,” the youths body stated.
