The beauty queen of Miss Niger Delta Diaspora, Josephine Tamaradenyefa Prebor has lauded Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brig. Gen Paul Boroh for the achievements recorded so far in the programme.
The Niger Delta Diaspora queen made the assertion on Monday 24th of April 2017 during a courtesy visit to the amnesty boss in his office, Abuja.
While lauding his developmental initiatives since he took over the mantle of leadership, the queen also seized the opportunity to roll out enlightenment campaign programmes she wishes to embark on, especially in Rivers and Bayelsa states, stressing that the issue of drug abuse among Niger Delta students has become worrisome hence the need to tame the menace.
She, however, appealed to the Amnesty Office and other relevant agencies to collaborate with her to bring about the programmes into fruition.
The address read in part: “Let me start by thanking the Special Adviser for approving this courtesy visit. I have looked forward to this day and it is a great honour and privilege to be here accompanied by my fellow Miss Niger Delta titled queens and a representative coordinator of the Miss Niger Delta Organisation.
“I sincerely want to use this opportunity to appreciate and commend the initiatives and achievements recorded so far by your office as special Adviser to Mr. President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
“Your Landmark achievements have been a great source of encouragement and motivation to me as Miss Niger Delta in Diaspora and indeed the Miss Niger Delta Organisation; Ambassador of Peace and Development which has been used as a platform to promote peace, socio-cultural integration, re-orientation of values, youth development promotion of our rich cultural heritage, empowerment of female youths of Niger Delta and sustainable Development in the Niger Delta since 1999.” The queen noted.
She proceeded further, “During my educational programme at the university of East London, United Kingdom, I had employed my office and position as Miss Niger Delta Diaspora to project the Niger Delta positively. The Landmark achievements of your office remains a pride and content of my message on the Niger Delta which has brought hope and created a better atmosphere for investment, oil and gas exploration activities in the Niger Delta and increased revenue through the petroleum sector for national development.
“Through the activities of your good office we see a better future for the youths of Niger Delta because the youths are better informed, they are trained in various fields of human endeavour and economically empowered.
“In complementing your laudable achievements I had embarked on an enlightenment campaign on the importance of Girl Child Education to some schools in Delta State. The programme recorded huge success and I wish to replicate same to Rivers and Bayelsa States.
“Sir, asides the need to continue our enlightenment campaign on the importance of Girl Child Education in the Niger Delta, we had observed during the campaign the worrisome indulgence of youths and students of the Niger Delta in drug abuse; the impact of this negative trend is grave” She said.
Meanwhile, in his response, Brig. Gen. Paul Boroh (Rtd) assured the Niger Delta Beauty Queen of working with her and rendering all necessary assistance with a view to making sure her dream project works out, adding that his interest in education is immeasurable hence the assistance.

Otsemobo, Chairman, Legal, Peace and Conflict Committee/Chairman Abuja Chapter of FOSSCCIMA; others were Miss Niger Delta Titled Queens; Management of the Miss Niger Delta Organisation and Others.
