…Staff to participate in 2018 AWAREs programme at PAU

In recognition of its leading media position in the Niger Delta region, Chevron Nigeria Limited, an operator of the Chevron/Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) joint venture has offered a scholarship opportunity to the GbaramatuVoice media house.
This was contained in a letter addressed to the Publisher, GbaramatuVoice, Mr. Jacob Abai, dated May 17th, 2018 and signed by the General Manager, Government and Public Affairs, Mr. Esimaje Brikinn.
With this development, GbaramatuVoice correspondent will participate in the forthcoming four months intensive programme in Advanced Writing and Reporting Skills (AWARES) program at the prestigious School of Media and communication, Pan Atlantic University, Lekki, Lagos.
The programme which is crafted for topnotch journalists from reputable media organizations across the country will commence on Monday 11th June 2018 with all expenses, both tuition and logistics arising from the programme paid by Chevron.
It will equally avail the participants the opportunity to learn and develop skills in areas such as creative writing skills, investigative reporting, new media enterprise, development communication as well provide an avenue for professional networking.
In a letter of appreciation signed and sent to Chevron Nigeria Limited by the GbaramatuVoice publisher, the organization thanked Chevron for the support while adding that such gesture will continue to spur not just the organization but the beneficiary to positive actions in journalism practice.
