Chevron Nigeria Limited Warns Against False Recruitment Information

Makaraba Community, host to Chevron Nigeria Limited in Gbaramatu kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State has on Saturday, sworn in new executive members to pilot the community affairs.

A total of nine persons were sworn in to move the community affairs to another height.

GbaramatuVoice gathered that the members of the newly sworn-in executives are Capt. Wilson Miller Bubor, Chairman; Elder Daniel Ebiyeju Ayetan, Vice Chairman; Engr. Henry Hope Makaraba, Secretary.

Others are Engr. Doutimi Aruwei, Assistant Secretary; Bubor David Junior, PRO; Elizabeth Bubor Makaraba, Treasurer; Ebi Doctor Destiny, Financial Secretary; Francis Bubor, Auditor and Mr Selekeowei Gbemi, Organizer.

While giving a charge to the executives, Amb. Jude Ukori, Chairman Egbema-Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation (EGCDF), urges the newly sworn-in executives not to encourage the issue of theft through pipeline vandalism.

He noted that the activities of illegal oil bunkering and unnecessary stoppage of work should be seen as a thing of past, so as to promote peaceful coexistence among investors and indigenes.

Mr Fred Igere who represented Ukori, congratulated and encourage the newly elected executives to run with peace, stressing that there would be no meaningful and positive development without peace.

While presenting his inaugural speech, the newly elected Chairman, Capt. Wilson Miller Bubor stated that in his drive to taking Makaraba Community to greater heights, they have three functional areas that would enhance its collective growth.

It will also be given pertinent attention.

The areas according to him include Human Capital Development; Infrastructural Development and Consolidation on the efforts of the past leadership from September 27th 1978 till date.

It is also recorded that this is the first official inauguration since 1978.

He, therefore, thanked and appreciate everyone who came to grace the occasion and promise to give his best in promoting the Community.

However, Chief Elder P.T. Heaven sworn and admonished them to run all-inclusive governance to promote peace and harmony to drive home the needed development in the community.

The occasion was graced by prominent chiefs of Gbaramatu Kingdom to witness the smooth transition of the new executives.
