Leave Gbaramatu Kingdom Alone Or…, Gbaramatu Women Tells FG, Army, Others

•Use The Money For Gun Boats To Develop Our Region

•Tompolo Is Our Son And We Cannot Deny Him-Woman leader

•Women Are Ready To Go Naked If…-Triple Chief Vero

The women of Gbaramatu Kingdom has cried out to the Federal Government and the entire world to come to their aid as they are tired of the incessant harassment and intimidation by the Nigerian military forces.

The women stated this through their National Women Leader, Triple Chief Vero Tangbowei (JP)  in a chat with GbaramatuVoice.

According to the women, they are tired of the constant and unwarranted intimidations by both the army and the Nigerian Navy.

Speaking further, the women explained that they now find it difficult to sleep and go fishing as they all live in fear.

They pointed out that at any slight noise, they would think that the Army and Navy have come again to attack them.

“What exactly do they want from us?” she queried.

“They should please tell us because we have said it over and over again that if it is the Avengers that they are looking for, we do not have them in our communities.”
Continuing, she stated that all the killings of the military personnel as reported daily, none has ever occurred in their kingdom.

Lamenting further, she said the Nigerian Armed Forces are always keen on attacking the kingdom even when crimes not related to the kingdom occur, a situation she attributed to the lack of respect for the people.

The woman leader popularly known as ‘Tripple Chief’ added that Chief Tompolo is their son and they can never deny him as he has not done anything against the laws of the land that will warrant his ill-treatment.

“Tompolo cared for his people. I wonder why they are looking for him when he is not an armed robber. When they call them militants, I’m not happy about it. He is a freedom fighter,” she added.

In the same vein, she explained that all the gunboats, jets and the rest of them they are bringing, cost a fortune, adding that the money spent on these equipment would have been enough to flag off the school project.

Again, she stressed that if the Federal Government want him (Tompolo) to work with them, they should release all that they have taken from him and draw him closer.

She expressed worry that even as she is speaking, they cannot say that this is where their son is and his absence is affecting so many things which include but not limited to the school fees of those on his scholarship programme and stipends for the elderly women.

She, therefore, pleaded with the Federal Government to leave Gbaramatu people alone as failure to do so may warrant the women to go naked and that will be dangerous.
