Kurutie community new exco for inauguration on Friday
The people of Kurutie community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta state, will on Friday, February 17, 2023, inaugurate its new executive council that will pilot the day to day affairs of the community for next three years.
This was contained in a statement signed by High Chief Anthony Ayeibode, Chairman, Elders Council and High Chief Yuesi Pori, Arudawei of Gbaramatu Kingdom and made available to newsmen in Warri on Tuesday.
According to the statement, Mr. Matthew Tonlagha, the Executive Director of Fenog Nigeria Limited, will be the chairman of the day, while, The Vice Chancellor of Nigeria Maritime University (NMU), Prof. Emmanuel Adigio is the Guest Speaker of the Day.
Special Guests of Honour are: Royal Father of the Day, His Royal Majesty, Oboro-Gbaraun II (Aketekpe, Agadagba), the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom; His Excellency, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, Deputy Governor, Delta State; Distinguished Senator James E. Manager, the Senator Representing the Delta South Senatorial District; Hon. Julius Pondi, Member, Representing Burutu Federal constituency, Federal House of Representatives, Abuja; Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, Member, Representing Warri South-West Constituency, Delta State House of Assembly, Asaba.
Other Special Guests expected at the event include: Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, Commissioner, Representing Ijaw Ethnic Nationality, DESOPADEC, Hon. Shedrack Agediga, Executive Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, DESOPADEC; Hon. Michael Diden, PDP Senatorial Candidate, Delta South Senatorial District; Dr. Alfred Mulade, Registrar, Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State; Hon. Taiye Duke Tuoyo, the Executive Chairman, Warri South-West Local Government Council, among others.
The statement also stressed that there will be cultural activities to spice up the event and music to be supplied by Chief Kingsley Takemebo.
