Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, the member representing Burutu Federal Constituency, has completed a new mini pitch in Torugbene community, Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State. The mini pitch, equipped with modern facilities, a well-maintained playing surface, and seating areas for spectators, is specifically designed to host various sporting activities, with a focus on football.
This initiative is part of Pondi’s broader efforts to develop grassroots sports infrastructure in the Niger Delta. In addition to the mini pitch, Pondi has also overseen the construction of several other projects in the constituency, including community centers, health clinics, and educational facilities. These projects are designed to improve the quality of life for residents and foster a sense of community pride.
Pondi expressed his commitment to supporting local sports development, stating, “This mini pitch is not just a sports facility; it is a community hub where our young people can come together, develop their talents, and build a sense of unity.
