A Niger Delta Youth Leader, Mr. Adowei Binaebi Freedom from Sokebolou Community in Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State have stated that nothing will stop his resolve in protecting government oil and gas facilities in his community.

Mr. Adowei made the disclosure yesterday in a press statement sent to newsmen in Warri while dismissing claims from some quarter linking him as a member of the economically dangerous group, Niger Delta Avengers.

According to him, he stated that he took advantage of the Presidential Amnesty Programme granted to ex agitators in 2009 by the late. President Umaru Musa Yaradua’s administration, alleging that he was sent to South Africa along with other Niger Deltans for a diving course and was later attached to Century Energy.

The youth leader opined that he is so in love with his diving profession, noting that even without the government contracting him to secure its facilities, he has since been securing such critical national assets in his own way.

The Sokebolou Youth President, Mr. Adowei alleges that it is unfortunate for him to have been labeled by some persons due to his activities in protecting government facilities.

The statement read “My Name Is Adowei Binaebi freedom.I took advantage of the presidential Amnesty granted to Niger Delta exagitators in 2009 by the Late President Umaru Musa Yaradua, I was sent to South Africa with others for a diving Course and was later attached to century energy, I later left century energy for a better paid company and I have since then been opportune to work with different diving companies.

“Two times youth president, sokebolou community in Burutu local government council. As a law abiding citizen I have always stand on my ground to protect both community and government properties to make my administration stand out among previous administrations.

“I have help in protecting Oil facilities in my Community, I was never contracted to secure these facilities but I have being doing this to better Delta State and Nigeria in general. As a result of doing this I have been labeled by some self centered bunkers and Ex militants who as well parade themselves as the ones protecting Pipeline in the territory.

“The same people who send out their boys to destroy Government property to get pipeline surveillance contract, the same oil cabals who load oil with ship from “Ofroma B ” platform Shell Forcados and as I speak vessels are still loading there and left the creeks spilled with crude to suffer our poor fishing men and women. The same Ex militant who owns the Abandoned crude vessels that ground at Ogulagha river.

“As I have always said and I will continue to say.There is no amount of intimidation or name calling that will scare me or my administration from doing the right thing that is protecting my community property, Government crude and gas pipelines around my domain. And expose everyone of you (oil cabals) involve in this criminal act in a short while.

” I dissassociate myself from any name calling as a member of a so called group Niger Delta Avengers as I know nothing nor little about it. I am a professional diver with “Imca certificate” and am so Inlove with my profession.” Mr. Adowei Freedom stated.
