Idjerhe monarch hails Tinubu, tasks him on Niger Delta development
The Paramount Ruler of Great Idjerhe Kingdom in Delta Central of Delta State, HRM King Obukohwo Monday Whiskey JP, Udurhie I, the Ovie of Great Idjerhe Kingdom has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu tasking him to pay keen attention to issues of the Niger Delta Region.
The Monarch message was contained in a statement personally signed by him and made available to news men on Monday.

According to him, “I want to congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his successful inauguration. I have no doubt that he means well for the country as he needs to be kept abreast with the enormity of the job ahead.
“I want to call on Mr. President to ensure that the Niger Delta region is very critical to the national survival and therefore special attention should be paid to it’s needs.
“The goose that lays the golden egg must not be ignored. The issues that have plagued the region are still very prevalent and we are worried.
I thank the Federal Government for constituting the Lauretta Onochie led Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission and passing it’s budget. I want special attention to be paid to it’s activities to avoid bad past experience
“Your Excellency, peace and security are pillars upon which a country can survive and traditional rulers have enormous role in this respect, I therefore urge you to give a constitutional roles to traditional rulers who are at the grassroots.
The new President as true democrat should involve all critical stakeholders in the Niger Delta developmental agenda in particular and Nigeria in general.
Tinubu has the political pedigree of operating in very difficult terrain and I am confident that he will use his political sagacity to hit the ground running and ensure that there is equity, fairness and justice in delivering his democratic deliverables to the Nigerian Nation and her people.
