A member representing Warri South West in the Delta state House of Assembly, Honourable Emomotimi Guwor has said that his constituency should be optimistic that he would deliver the dividends of democracy.
Guwor disclosed this in an exclusive interview with GbaramatuVoice on Monday, June 10, in Asaba, the state capital, where he was celebrated after being inducted into the 7th Assembly.
After his inauguration with other Members, Guwor raised hope in his people that his membership would bring the needed progress in his constituency.
He said, “I will never let my people down; as much has been given to me, much should be expected from me.”
While expressing gratitude to God and his people, he added, “I feel great, so great. I was actually expecting this because having won election, there comes the need to inaugurate the House. It is one of the happiest days of my life.”
He further added, “There is a whole lot that Deltans should expect from the Seventh Assembly.
“From the calibre of men and women inaugurated today, I can safely tell you that we are going to come out with Bills and motions that would better the lives of Deltans.
“I would be a representative that would look at the people first. Anything I would do, would be for the people, and there would be lots of empowerment programme for our young ones and our women.”
