…Calls on others to emulate PDP’s conduct at primaries

Delta Ijaw Youths Movement for Political Advancement, DIYMPA, a political pressure group in Warri, Delta state, has offered its congratulations to the trio of Senator James Manager, Honourable Julius Pondi, and Mr Emomotimi Guwor over their victory at the primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

This was contained in a statement released to GbaramatuVoice and signed by the group’s President, Comrade John Dekawei.

Comrade Dekawei in the statement said the aspirants who were victorious have now become the flagbearer of the PDP, and that they are all worthy sons of the Ijaw ethnic nationality that would always protect the interest of the people.

The group called on other aspirants who lost at the primaries to eschew bitterness and to embrace the winners by joining forces together with them to ensure they emerge victorious at the general elections come 2019.

Going further, the group called on other political parties in the state to emulate the peaceful manner with which the PDP organised its primaries across the state without any record of internal rancour and violence, and a process that was adjudged as most transparent, free and fair elections.

It would be recalled that Senator Manager and Hon. Pondi had contested for the ticket of the PDP to represent the people of Delta South Senatorial District and Burutu Federal Constituency, respectively, while Mr. Emomotimi Guwor is to represent the people of Warri South West Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly.
