Great Joshua Maciver, leader of the IzonTukpa Movement and former Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State’s 2023 elections, has made two significant appointments in his team.
Maciver, who also serves as the State Coordinator for Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (Bayelsa Operations), appointed Elder Kesiye Frank-Oputu as Special Adviser on Political Matters and Dr. Kasarachi Innocent as Special Adviser on Media and Communications.
The appointments, effective immediately, were announced in a statement issued on Friday, November 22, 2024, by Mr. Timi Igoli, Chief of Staff to Maciver.
Elder Kesiye Frank-Oputu, a highly respected politician and administrator from Bayelsa, brings a wealth of experience from various political offices, including serving as Commissioner for Special Duties (Governor’s Office), Chairman of the Bayelsa State Public Procurement Board, and Senior Special Aide.
His experience extends to leadership roles such as General Manager of the Bayelsa State Property Development Authority.
Dr. Kasarachi Innocent, an academic and media professional, joins Maciver’s team with an extensive background in media and communications.
He is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Broadcasting at the University of Port Harcourt and has over 16 years of experience in print media journalism and radio production.
NDr. Innocent holds a First Class degree in Mass Communication from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and is a Commonwealth Scholar with specializations in Development Communication, Political Communication, and Public Policy Analysis.
The new appointments are a strategic move to enhance Maciver’s political and media engagement in Bayelsa State as he continues his public service journey.
