The Publisher of GbaramatuVoice, Mr. Jacob Abai, today paid a special visit to His Royal Majesty, King Bubaraye Dakolo, Agada IV, FANA, the Ibenanaowei of Ekpetiama Kingdom and Chairman of the Bayelsa State Traditional Rulers Council, as part of engagements ahead of the GbaramatuVoice 10th anniversary celebration.
Receiving the Publisher at his palace in Yenagoa, the revered monarch expressed delight over the growth and influence of GbaramatuVoice in the region over the past decade.
“I am exceptionally glad to hear that GbaramatuVoice of yesterday is now 10 years old. And, as it is said, it is the voice of the Niger Delta, unarguably,” King Dakolo remarked. “I congratulate you on this 10th anniversary and pray that you continue to wax stronger and stronger in the digital space. Egberi fa o.”
Reflecting on the journey of the media platform, King Dakolo commended the resilience of the GbaramatuVoice team.
“You have been able to remain afloat from the very humble beginnings,” he said. “I don’t think you knew that GbaramatuVoice would become such a loud voice. But that is the power of consistency. Once you choose to do a thing and keep doing it, doing it better every day, time will reveal your significance. Today, everyone reckons with the fact that there is a GbaramatuVoice somewhere, and it is speaking for us.”
The monarch concluded by acknowledging the partnership between the traditional institution and the media outfit: “Thank you. We are partners, I will say.”
The GbaramatuVoice 10th anniversary and Niger Delta Night of Honor is scheduled to hold at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, on August 27–28, 2025.
